So for New Years one of my friends, whom I sort of dated at one point, came to visit me. As I had assumed I'd feel, I really don't have any feelings for him "that way" anymore..which is definitely a good thing. Don't get me wrong, It was a nice visit, because we are good friends and have known eachother for a long time..but I'm glad that I am no longer hung up on him.

In other news, I experienced the wonder that is randomly meeting someone who seems like they might be a romantic interest of mine. Last Tuesday I was checking facebook and saw that I was invited to a get together at this bar near my house for a girl that I sort of know's birthday. Since no one has been in town, I thought about going, even though we aren't that close. Finally I caved, because I was so bored, and headed on down to the bar. I knew that this guy who I thought was sort of cute was going to be there, so that was another reason I went. I saw "that guy" and he came and sat next to me and we talked for awhile..but that's not the interesting part. Later on, I was just sitting, watching the people that were much more drunk than I, and I started talking to this random guy whom I had seen like once before at school. Anyway, we really hit it off, with the talking, which is saying something, because often I'm bad at the getting to know you conversation. By the end of the nite he asked me for my phone number, and we walked towards where I live and where his car was.

Since I have been trying the internet dating thing, I can not tell you how refreshing and exciting it is to meet someone by chance in real life. It's so much different. I am still skeptical of this whole situation, because that's how I roll, but we did go to my friend's party on Thursday together, and we went to a movie last nite. Oh and he's definitely not a bad kisser.

So we shall see..
